UFC 157 had its fair share of critics heading into the pay-per-view on Saturday night, but the fans in California responded to the first ever women’s matchup in the organization’s history by selling out the Honda Center to the tune of a $1.4 million gate.
The UFC also handed out $50K in post fight bonuses to four of its fighters.
Dennis Bermudez and Matt Grice earned “Fight of the Night” honors their back-and-forth bout during the Facebook prelims.
Robbie Lawler earned the final bonus for his “Knockout of the Night” over the heavily favored Josh Koscheck.
