Johnny Hendricks and Carlos Condit earned a $50K 'Fight of the Night' bonus.
UFC 158, coming from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, brought in a gate of over $3.7 million dollars on Saturday night. The event drew an attendance of 20,145 people.
The UFC also gave out its standard post-fight bonuses of $50K in a couple of categories. The ‘Fight of the Night’ bonuses went to Johnny Hendricks and Carlos Condit for their wild back-and-forth bout in the co-main event of the evening. Hendricks won a unanimous decision over Condit that was nothing if not entertaining.
Jake Ellenberger took home his $50K ‘Knockout of the Night’ bonus for his brutal finish of Nate Marquardt, in the event's other high-profile welterweight bout.
UFC 158 did not have a submission during the 12-fight MMA card, so the bonus was not given out.
