Joe Rogan may have said it best a few fights ago—Renan Barao is a monster. The bantamweight champion looked nothing but fantastic during his first-round stoppage victory over Urijah Faber on Saturday night.
The bout was originally schedule to unify the 135-lb title in a champion-versus-champion matchup between Barao and Dominick Cruz. Injury, unfortunately, derailed the fight, but if Saturday was any indication, Barao opponent would not have matter on Saturday night because the Brazilian fighter was simply on another level.
Here are the results of the rest of the fights on main the card.
Renan Barao defeats Urijah Faber via stoppage
Jose Aldo defeats Ricardo Lamas via decision
Alistair Overeem defeats Frank Mir via decision
Ali Bagautinov defeats John Lineker via decision
Abel Trujillo defeats Jamie Varner via KO
