Fly weight champ Demetrious Johnson takes down the challenger John Dodson early in the fight
At the conclusion of another successful event on Fox, the UFC handed out $50K post fight bonuses to four fighters at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday night.
Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson each took home a ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus for their fast paced and electric five-round main event. Johnson was knocked down twice in the second round, but rallied late in the fight to retain his title with a unanimous decision victory.
Anthony Pettis won ‘Knockout of the Night’ for his spectacular liver kick finish he put on Donald Cerrone late in the first round of their fight. Pettis, who is known for his flashy and unorthodox moves, added another highlight to his ever growing reel with a knee off the fence a few moments before his knockout of Cerrone.
Ryan Bader took home the final bonus of the night for his 50-second submission of UFC veteran Vladimir Matyushenko during the prelim fights on FX. Bader’s finish was the fastest submission victory in the history of the light heavyweight division.
