It's not often I get excited about US Soccer. That's not because I don't like or follow the sport, there just hasn't been a whole lot of moments to revel in lately.
This worked. Awesome goal by Benny Feilhaber in the 73rd minute to win yesterday's Gold Cup Final versus Mexico at Soldier Field.
I am a little disappointed in my town not exactly representing Team USA. Saying that was a Pro-Mexico crowd is an understatement. Of course, there's about Eleventy-Billion "Mexicans" here so I suppose that's not a surprise.
All we can do is try to get more and more people to show up and support the U.S. As we get more and more diehard fans, it won't be as much of an issue. Not that it really affects the guys anyway, they don't seem to have any problems beating Mexico wherever they play (except for Azteca but nobody wins there).
You got that right. And when World Cup qualifying comes around, you can bet MExico-US wil be in one of those 2 venues because they are actually HOME crowds.

Jon, I take it you saw the "friendly" played earlier this year in Arizona, when the Mexicans were throwing piss and beer on the US team as they went on and off the field?
Why we ever schedule them south of the Mason-Dixon line is beyond me.
