I really shouldn't care as much as I do, it's just the Pan Am Games. But our continued struggle to win in international basketball competition is frustrating.

Last night the USA team, comprised mostly of very good college players, lost 81-72 to Uruguay. How many NBA players do you think have come from Uruguay?

Why do we continue to struggle? Should we even care?

You know, if it's the basketball itself that's bothering them, I would totally understand now.

0	Part of the problem in these Pan Am Games is that the U.S. has teenagers playing against adults (professionals) here. Since other international teams can put their best players out there, why can't we? Since the Dream Team of 1992, many of our U.S. squads have been less than dominating, as the rest of the world catches up. Full Story
