Can The US Finally Win In Mexico? [USA Vs. Mexico Live Thread]

Buenos dias, amigos. Big World Cup qualifier down in Mexico today. USA versus Mexico. And despite the fact that we've done pretty well against the boys from south of the border in the States, we suck in Mexico. We've never won at Azteca Stadium. 0-22-1. Damn, suddenly I feel like the Detroit Lions.

Anyway, Landon Donovan and crew (Jozy Altidore, Gooch!) will try and end that horrible (or or-ib-lay) streak. Chat up the game here, you chupacabras.

so what did I miss about your comment anyway?  Please utilize your below standard college degree to explain to me what you really meant...

University of Chi doctoral yet you make an incredibly ignorant and uneducated comment about somebody you really dont know. How is OU community type at all OU is certainly not below standard college degrees? Are you really that arrogant? have you ever talked to a girl outside of granting her permission to borrow a pen?

Rural mental-midget? I just graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Business Administration and Financial Planning. I also was somehow able to pass the General Teaching certification test in addition to the business education and intermediate mathematics. I also have never lived in a rural area ever. I have lived in Kansas City, Minneapolis, Tulsa, and Norman, OK. and if you think those are rural towns then I feel sorry for you.

If USA wins, then El Salvador could conceivably pull further away from Mexico and the Mexicans might not make the World Cup. Hooray for showing that CONCACAF has depth.

Lalas picked a 1-1 tie.  Saying denying the extra 2 points is just as good.  I agree with that.

Mexican fans are more impatient with their team than Yankees fans are with A-Rod.

You know the one thing that might make international soccer popular in America is the fact that you know the games will be over when the time on your guide says it will be over. Unlike almost every other sport which always goes over.

8/12/09   |   hskrdave   |   10494 respect

Nice Start, but Mexico is normally faster than us, so we need to play smart, of course.
