Two days after finding out that quarterback Matt Barkley – the Pac-12’s all-time leader in touchdown passes – will not play in the Sun Bowl, USC star wide receiver Marqise Lee injured his knee in practice and is officially doubtful for Monday’s game against Georgia Tech.Blog Photo - USC Football: Marqise Lee Doubtful for Sun Bowl

Lee, the winner of this year’s Biletnikoff Award, hurt his knee in a drill on Saturday and was seen limping onto the team bus. He has been held out of practice since the incident.

Trojans coach Lane Kiffin says he his “hopeful” that Lee will be ready to go for the Sun Bowl, but it’s unclear whether that’s just wishful thinking or not.

Lee caught 112 passes for 1,680 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while breaking the 100-yard mark in eight of the Trojans' 12 games this season.

USC, which was the consensus preseason No. 1 team, will vie for its eighth win of the season versus a Yellow Jacket team that currently owns a losing record at 6-7.
