USC Facing More NCAA Violations
According to a report by the L.A. Times, a key figure that was charged in the L.A. County assessor's office probe has admitted to giving cash and other perks to former Trojan star running back Joe McKnight (along with basketball player Davon Jefferson).
This is a potential major rules violation and could lead to another series of sanctions.
Scott Schenter, the alleged appraiser, sent e-mails that county work emails that strongly hint that he provided McKnight with a car and an airline ticket, and Jefferson with about $3,700 in cash.
If the accusation comes to be true, USC will be facing the possibility of more postseason bans and loss of scholarship as a two-time offender. That would be detrimental to a football program that just took a major hit after the Reggie Bush scandal.
The Trojans are currently ranked No. 1 in the AP Poll and defeated Hawai'i 49-10 on Saturday.
