Two years ago Oregon State stunned the college football world by upsetting the then No. 3 USC Trojans at home in Corvallis.

The Beavers have some talented components in their offense, but there will be no upset tonight on ESPN Thursday Night Football. In 2006 Southern California made the trip up to Oregon State in late October in the middle of a tough stretch of Pac-10 games. They overlooked OSU and never got into a groove.

This year the scenario is much different. USC has only played two games as we enter week 5 of the season, and will be jacked to come out and perform. Adding more fire to the fuel, the Trojans have heard plenty about their failures two years ago. It won't happen again and it won't be close.

Despite the blowout factor, there's plenty of reasons to watch. Which USC player will make a spectacular play? Can Mark Sanchez put up a Heisman-like performance? Will Rey Maualuga decapitate a Beaver?

don't sleep on my Boise State! No, not really...we should be undefeated now after beating Oregon...but we didn't play near the talent that BYU did. USF and the entire Big East/ACC are jokes...move Boise State to the MWC and make the MWC a BCS conference...that's what I say.

I know this is way too early but say USC drops this game, what would that do to their National Title hopes? Would this be the kind of loss that they couldn't bounce back from and jump over a possible once beaten Big 12 and SEC champion?

Mark Sanchez proved he is not worthy of the Heisman tonight. USC is also out of the title picture - everyone saw this tonight and they looked bad.
Ohio State looks worse due to this, but remember that Penn State destroyed this Oregon State team 45-14.

Oregon State played Katie Couric to USC's Sarah Palin.

This loss pretty much seals up a Big 12 vs SEC title game. No way the pollsters put the once beaten Trojans ahead of a once beaten Big 12 or SEC champion.
