Update: Tony Parker Has a Grade 1 Hamstring Strain
Tony Parker addressed the media on Wednesday and said that his MRI revealed a grade 1 strain on his hamstring. Parker, however, remained optimistic and said that he hoped to play on Thursday, but that he wouldn’t know about his playing status until Thursday.
It is hard to tell at this point, whether Parker and the Spurs were trying to put his status very close to their chest or not, but it really does seem as though Parker is uncertain as to whether or not he would play on Thursday.
Head coach, Gregg Popovich said that Parker did not practice on Wednesday and that Parker remained off his feet in order to rest his hamstring.
The good news for the Spurs is that they have a really deep team, but unless they have someone else step-up as their catalyst on offense, it may be difficult repeat what the offensive barrage they displayed on Tuesday.
