Jets fans can breathe a sigh of relief, at least for now, as it's been reported that Mike Goodson's "additional legal woes" were a false alarm. The initial report, issued by Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, was recently rescinded: 

The Houston woman, Ashlee WIlson, contacted ESPNNewYork.com four hours after the story was posted, claiming she never gave attorney Glenn Lilly authorization to file the suit. Wilson said she has no plans to sue Goodson for child support, adding: "We don't need a lawyer to settle it." She said she doesn't want to create any additional problems for Goodson with the Jets. Wilson also claimed no one, including Goodson, convinced her to drop the suit. Lilly, reached late Saturday, said she received "oral authorization" from Wilson to file the suit in court.

At this point, it's very likely Mike Goodson will play the entire season for the Jets as the legal proceedings against him for his most recent arrest play out. Simply put, Gang Green hopes to see fewer of these issues arise and more of these highlights on the field:
