
Spoiler Alert for those of you who think you'll go the whole day without finding out the winner of the 100m dash final. For whatever reason NBC plans to wait until this evening to show the semifinal and final sprints.
The fastest man in the world final lost some luster without Tyson Gay, who failed to qualify, but Usain Bolt still made it worth the hype.
Jamaica's Bolt broke his own mark, setting a new world record at 9.69 seconds despite celebrating throughout the final 20 meters. America's Walter Dix finished a surprising third, winning the bronze medal. Think Bobby Bowden could find a spot for him on the Florida State football team?
Without Gay in the 200m event as well, Bolt has a very good chance to pull off the double.
