I think it is a real shame that Coach D'Antoni and Shaq are taking the blame for the Suns losing to the Spurs. I also hate to see people talking about how the Jason Kidd trade (like the Shaq trade) was bad, now that Dallas lost in the first round. Yeah, I know how many times the Suns have lost to the Spurs now in the playoffs, but you know what....I think that everyone should feast on this thought for awhile. How unlucky for the Suns that they've had to meet the Spurs in the playoffs for consecutive years. There are a lot of teams in the NBA who this would happen to as well (referring to getting beat by the Spurs in the playoffs). Fortunately, a lot of teams don't have to worry about meeting the Spurs (like every team in that weak Eastern Conference - until it comes time for the Finals, and look what happened to "King James" and company last year in the finals.....but everyone still loves LeBron). I mean, just look at the Western Conference playoff picture this year.....it is PACKED with good teams. Seeding has a lot to do with how a team will fare in the playoffs, and I'm not just talking NBA here. Throw in some other X factors, like bad calls by the refs and other teammates missing shots, and it should be impossible for one or two coaches/players to take all of the blame.
I think Charles Barkley hit the nail on the head when he said that professional sports these days is all about "instant gratification" (which is coincidentally what we Americans are all about a lot of times as well). Therefore, if a team loses a tough playoff matchup, then somebody's head has got to roll, and the coach is the first one to get the axe. Or, in the case of the Suns and the Mavs, people can blame it on the "bad trade". PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
