This is quite honestly one of the weirdest videos you will ever see. It's also an amazing reminder of how far medicine has come in today's world.
Belgian soccer player Anthony Van Loo, in the 44th minute of a recent game, had a heart attack and collapsed to the ground right on the middle of the field. Watch at about the 17-second mark as his legs jolt around suddenly (thanks to an internal defibrillator), and then he sits up at the 21-second mark as if nothing happened.
Van Loo was diagnosed with a heart condition last year and was only allowed back in the sport because of the implanted defibrillator, which, um, we now know clearly works. However, you've got to wonder if Van Loo might decide to retire after this. There's only so many times you want your heart jump started in life.

Wow, that's an incredible video. Amazing dedication by Van Loo to still want to play w/ implanted defribillator.

He's a soccer player of course he faked it.

That's crazy, especially that he popped back up.
It reminds me of a few years ago, the Red Wings had a player named Jiri Fischer who went into cardiac arrest during a game. Luckily, he survived, but that ended his playing career. (He's actually a scout for the Wings now I believe)

At least you didn't make a "he was totally diving" joke.

I wonder if he got back up and played the second half. You know, put a little "magic spray" on the chest and he'll pop back up...good as new.
