The New Mexico Lobos and BYU Cougars were battling it out in the semifinals of the Mountain West Conference Tournament, nothing out of the ordinary there. BYU had a one goal lead when things just started going crazy.
Girls were elbowing and kicking each other like they were in the octagon at an UFC event.
The main culprit in all of this was number 15 Elizabeth Lambert of New Mexico. After her ponytail take down onBYU's Kassidy Shumway, she later followed that up by tripping a BYU player at the edge of the box, resulting in one of her New Mexico teammates "accidentally" kicking the ball right in her face.
She wasn't done there, later in the game as a BYU player and her were fighting over the ball, Lambert looked more like Steelers great Jack Lambert as she socked another New Mexico player right in the face.
BYU ended up winning the game 1-0 and advancing to the finals of the Mountain West Conference Tournament but Jim Lampley scored it 10-9 for BYU.
