This clip comes from the Hawks/Bucks game a few nights ago when Skyhawk - the Hawks mascot - decided to go for a new world dunking record on rollerblades.

So let's see, we have idiot mascot + roller blading + ramp + dunk attempt. We all know what that equals - sheer comedy gold! And backboard-related fatalities, of course.

Even though the sound of the hit is drowned out by "Slow Ride" or some other stupid rock song, that had to hurt. Personally, I think Skyhawk should just go back to riding around Hotlanta on a motorcycle.

I wonder how much they pay the guy who has to run down the court towing the mascot.

Knowing how cheap most pro teams are when it comes to paying non-players, he's lucky if he gets a free ticket to the game.

You are right it is a like Lucha Libre but with the creepy factor at 10.

 

Maybe the Hawk is prepping for his role in soon to DVD movie Biker Birds, but yes that was high-lerious.
