I think the audio of this guy in the background best sums up college football fans reaction late Saturday night. "No f-ing way."

41-point underdogs going into the Colisium and beating #2 USC with a backup quarterback. Impressive effort by Jim Harbaugh to convince his Stanford Cardinal they had a chance to win. A less convincing effort by these announcers to prove to me this was the biggest upset of the season.

Don't let Vegas sway your opinion that much. This was a Pac-10 conference game. Stanford wasn't completely devoid of talent. The Cardinal's two receivers will play on Sundays (Evan Moore is a beast). Appalachian State, for all it's speed, wasn't even in the same division (or subdivision).

Great, great upset, but just the second best this year.

We didn't know that Michigan was over rated going into the season. We found that out after the first couple of weeks but going into the season with a 4 year starter at QB and RB, dynamic Wr's and solid O-Line. Everyone was picking them to win the Big 10. It was a PAC-10 game also. Conference games are always tougher than the 1-AA team you schedule at the beginning of the year expecting to beat by 40. I think a lot of people and talking heads are creatures of the moment. This USC team is no where near what it was in the past years. There is no comparison of these though, I'm not 100% sure but I think Stanford has upset a top 10 team before but no 1-AA team has ever beaten a top 10 team before Appalachain State.

Stanford did not beat USC last year, they won 42-0. UCLA and Oregon St. beat USC last year.

Stranford is division 1 and App. State is Div. 2. Also the spread for Michigan wa si think like 33 1/2 or soemthing but it was ta Michigan rarely loses at home, i think it could go either was really.

But USC was in there stadium and they were expected to go to the national champiship and they were no.2 not no.5 and stanford had there back up QB BACK UP QB
