41-point underdogs going into the Colisium and beating #2 USC with a backup quarterback. Impressive effort by Jim Harbaugh to convince his Stanford Cardinal they had a chance to win. A less convincing effort by these announcers to prove to me this was the biggest upset of the season.
Don't let Vegas sway your opinion that much. This was a Pac-10 conference game. Stanford wasn't completely devoid of talent. The Cardinal's two receivers will play on Sundays (Evan Moore is a beast). Appalachian State, for all it's speed, wasn't even in the same division (or subdivision).
Great, great upset, but just the second best this year.
