Bill Belichick's Jeopardy Answer
Bill Belichick Thought Not Making The Playoffs Was Bad, But Being Mocked On Jeopardy Is Worse

Bill Belichick has had a pretty rough year.

First there was Spygate and all the fallout from that. Then came losing the perfect season in Super Bowl XLII. Follow that tough loss up with losing Tom Brady for the entire 2008 season and missing out on the playoffs for the first time since 2002.

Well if that wasn't enough, Belichick's now a Jeopardy answer and a not so flattering one at that.  I don't know if the category for this was "Sore Losers" or "Sports Espionage" but if last season's run it up, destroy all those who show us disrespect attitude that Belichick had has taught us anything, it's that Bill will be coming after Alex Trebec any day now.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Being mocked on Jeopardy is no where near the humility that comes with losing the Superbowl after you demolished every team to get there.  It also does not top Spy-Gate.  Sorry Bill.

I can't wait to hear Belichick tell Trebek to "Suck it hard, and suck it long" a la Sean Connery.

Let everyone laugh NOW. When they get themselves together and BRADY will be back there won't be a lot to laugh at. The 85 Broncos were 11-5 and did not make the playoffs, so The Patriots are not alone as a good team not making the playoffs. If anything this hurts very badly because they played good enough to win and go deep, but those loses to The Dolphins were very costly. This is why Bill has a bitter taste in his mouth. This is the opportunity for Patriot haters to get their s**t off. I never really hated The Patriots because I love good teams PERIOD. They do have my support AND I'M A JETS FAN. You can't blame them for feeling cheated when teams with lesser records ( The Chargers) get in based on the Best Division Record.

I agree 100%, better get your laughs in now cause when Brady returns next year, there'll be hell to pay. I think they will be pretty pissed about this year and come out with a lot of pride and determination and something to prove.

It could be a little scary but remember they were playing without their best player and the back up was setting NFL records in the process. There aren't too many changes going on with this team only that they will and Promise to be better next season. WATCH!!!!!!!!!!

the patriots arent as good as everyone says when they play in the superbowl its a defensive win not offensive notice when they won it was by 5 or less points. thats not offense winning them games its defense. its not like they're winning by 14 pts or more

True they only won by 5 or less but they scored 20, 24, & 32 points in those wins. Not exactly what I'd call stellar defense there. If you can't score, you won't win. A well balanced team with both good defense and good offense wins Superbowls. Look at the 2007 Bears great defense and special teams but the offense stunk and they lost to an offensive team in the Colts, who had an average defense at best.

You were talking about defense being key in the Superbowl wins over offense. Apparantly when the Patriots won those 3, they had the better defense and offense. A win is a win by 1 point or 21. I was merely using the 2007 Superbowl as an example that you better have some form of offense or you will not win the Superbowl. Offense can only carry a team so far, but the same goes for defense as well.I'm just saying a good team has both, good offense and defense. The Patriots did not win an NFL record 21 straight games that included playoff wins & a Superbowl win, then come back with 18 straight win because their defense sucked.

So... they weren't that good, because they ONLY won their 3 Super Bowls by 3 points each? As opposed to all the other teams who won 3 Super Bowls in 4 years by a bunch of points?

Right... try again, pal. You're not even close to sanity on this one.

I can only laugh at this crap. I always knew that Congress was rigging pro football all these years. Hell, I bet the games are scripted too. No wonder they never get anything done. They're way to busy planning the next season.NOW IT MAKES SENSE  WHY DREW BREES DIDN'T GET THE MVP. My dumb ass.Somehow I didn't get to vote on just who was America's team. I didn't notice that on the ballot. How in the world would Jerry Jones let that happen to Dallas... wait I know ...first you go and get T O, then you grab Pacman as soon as he is available, they'll finish it up with Plexico once the Giants can him

Can you please explain to me how the NFL could plausibly pull that off, without anyone ratting them out? Or how the President has anything to do with it at all? Or why the Giants getting one is relevant?

Your comment is quite honestly the stupidest thing I have ever seen someone say on this site. Congratulations, sir. You are truly one of a kind.

i have heard this utterly retarded theory before.  it is so stupifying and mindless, you should feel sorry for anyone who would even say it out loud, much less think it.  i wouldn't even use this one in jest...

If Tom Brady comes back next year from his supposed on track/ off track rehabilitation and Cassell being franchised,  doesn't anyone see a potential QB controversy.   The first game that Brady plays bad in the general public will want Cassell in.  That cant bode well for the Pats.  Plus they lost their Offensive Coordinator to the Broncos.

O.K. smart guy where is the Redskins SuperBowl? Dayum maybe the Saints shoulda got one after Katrina. Maybe Obama will start a franchise in Hawaii and give them one, but I think he'll just hook up the Bears instead.

Don't you think the Cowboys would have won one if it was rigged? The man is from Texas after all. You make no sense whatsoever. New England would be the last place a man from Texas would hand a superbowl to.

I have to say, that is hilarious. I'm surprised they allowed that question on air, but i'm so happy they did!

I'm going to assume that the Cardinals making it to the Super Bowl is Bush's consolation prize for John McCain, right?

wait.  the eagles and the cardinals making the nfc championship had to have been a conspiracy by the national autubon society to further the agenda of birds in the current climate of global warming.  i mean, look at what knocked down that plane in nyc - birds!  it is one big set up t make the birds out to be our friends.  what other explanation could their possibly be for the cardinals in the super bowl.  oh, and i am sure george bush had something to do with it too.  him and the rand corporation.

is that enough sarcasm for one post, or should i use more?
