Bill Belichick had his regular Wednesday morning press conference and as you might imagine was asked repeatedly to comment on the cheating allegations. His press conference went a little like this.
He did, however, offer up a written statement earlier this morning. Note the use of the word 'apology.'
"At this point, we have not been notified of the league's ruling," Belichick said in a statement. "Although it remains a league matter, I want to apologize to everyone who has been affected, most of all ownership, staff and players. Following the league's decision, I will have further comment."
Lol, I watched the little bit of the press conference that he gave on First Take (Yea someone does watch it), and all I could think of was, Belichick is channeling his inner Drew Rosenhaus. Then there was an awkward pause and someone asks "So how are you going to stop LT?" It was very funny
Its going to be a lot harder to stop the Chargers when your not stealing signs with a video camera. If I'm the Chargers watch out for listening devices in the locker room.
The Belichick press conference this morning, Belichick said, pretty much, that I released a statement this morning and I will not talk about it until Friday when we meet with the NFL. The reporters kept trying to get him to say something about it but he kept saying, in a politician-y way, next question.
