The Blackhawks and Canucks had a regular old brouhaha on Sunday.

The Blackhawks were losing 4-0 when Dustin Byfuglien of the Hawks hit the Canucks goalie, Luongo, in the mask with the butt end of his stick. What resulted was 70 minutes in penalties. Several fights continued while the refs were busy breaking up others. The video is awesome, and reveals WWE moves (Kevin Bieksa vs Ben Eager), jumping over refs, and hair pulling by the Canucks, Alexandre Burrows (Burrows vs Duncan Keith). Check it out:

I know I am looking forward to the insults and comments about Burrows resorting to tactics usually left to the Bad Girls Club.

Unfortunately, these two teams don't play again in what's left of the regular season. But right now, the Hawks and Canucks are matched up in a #4 vs #5 matchup in the playoffs. Let's hope the standings bear out this awesome first round matchup.

3	Cheap move to hit Luongo like that, what did they think would happen.... Not only did they go after their Goalie... But he's the Captain too!!!!! Of course the Canucks are going to retaliate!!

6	This is also the reason why hockey isn't mainstream. This will be shown on newscasts all over the country where they would never show a great Ovechkin or Crosby goal. Having said that, there was no way Vancouver was going to let Byfuglien get away with popping Luongo in the jaw. Man, the Hawks played like crap in that game.

haha, that was a good fight, u dont see many good ones like that anymore. a bet that if it were leagal it woud've turned inot a bench brawl!! u dont mess with goalies, exspecially when their thecaptain. it doubles the insult therefor doubling the intend to hurt you.
i really like the wwe moves, very amusing. but the hair pulling, now that almost killed me. I dont even pull hair when im in a fight, my big bad hockey player models shouldnt be!! lol
i dont think the players knew he had hit the goalie, but then im pretty sure he said something about, or the reffs did. idk
i would LOVE to see chuck noris play hockey!!! heehee :D
