Looking at just the final score, no one would have predicted this game went scoreless in the first quarter. A boring, turnover-filled first 15 minutes turned into a wild game of the week.
It was only a matter of time before Brett Favre got on the same page with not just Jerricho Cotchery, but Laveranues Coles. And boy did he ever connect with Coles, to the tune of THREE 2nd quarter touchdowns. Coles finished the day with eight receptions for 105 yards. Favre tosses six touchdown passes in total, tying the Jets all-time record with Joe Namath and setting a new personal best.
Chances are they'll talk about this during Monday Night Football.
Down 34-0 at the half, the Cardinals didn't fold. Kurt Warner didn't let his fumbles and interceptions get in the way, scoring 21 straight points in the third quarter to turn this back into a close game at points throughout the 4th quarter. Warner threw for well over 300 yards in the second half, 472 yards in total.
Not a whole lot of defense played, but if you're a fan of a gunslinger shootout, these highlights are for you.
So, I had cotchery, coles, and keller in my fantasy lineup. Then I heard about the rain in NY, so I dropped coles and keller for antonio bryant and jeramy stevens. What would've been 6 receiving TD's for me turned into 2 . However, I pulled out the win, thanks in part to Orton giving Philly the ball times.
