I'm a Brett Favre fan, but I hate this constant attention to something that doesn't deserve even half of this much publicity. So it is with great regret that I join in the others with a Favre post. I suppose this is more about the insanity that is a Green Bay Packers fan.
Last night the Packers held their annual Family Night, an intrasquad scrimmage in front of 56,600 fans at Lambeau Field.Usually, the attendance figures reach 60,000. So why were several thousand absent?
Because that were at the local airport, to simply watch Favre walk off a plane. Seriously. Those who were at Lambeau noted that many others left the stadium, to join the welcome party. I understand preseason scrimmages are boring, but this is your team. And it's football.
Aaron Rodgers may be said to have "equal" shot at the starting position, but let's be honest. He doesn't. And Rodgers blew his first opportunity to win over a few fans after completing just 35% of his passes last night.
Alright, now back to Favre-less drama...
