To say that the Olympic Torch Relay has not gone very well would be like beating a dead horse - or, more appropriately, a dead protester. But things reached a bit of a fever pitch this weekend in Seoul when the torch made a quick stopover in South Korea.
As you may have heard, one guy tried to light himself on fire. But in addition to that, two Tibetan kids found themselves trapped in a room surrounded by a rather irate group of Chinese students who decided to more or less do what China has been doing to Tibet for years - attack, attack, attack. It definitely gets a bit intense towards the end.
I know I joke about the Olympics a lot here, but it's gotten to the point where it just isn't funny anymore. It's depressing.
It really is an absolute travesty that the 2008 Olympics are happening in China. I'd have to think a fair number of people in the international community and even those on the International Olympic Committee would agree at this point.
