It wasn't much of a surprise that the Tennessee Titans drilled the Kansas City Chiefs this afternoon, but the 334 yards amounted by the Titans on the ground might have been.
LenDale White had himself a big fantasy day with 149 yards and 3 touchdowns, but Chris Johnson gets the highlight treatment with his 168 yards. More particularly, his 66-yard touchdown romp in the second half that ended with the Titans rookie playing the bongos and congas in the end zone.
I genuinely feel sorry for you guys. I have no idea why anyone in the front office ever got the idea that Herm was a good hire. I actually like Brodie Croyle a lot. I think he's got a cannon for an arm, and has a lot of potential. But Herm Edwards is one of the worst coaches I've seen, and people continue to make excuses for him. I'll never understand it.
The Chiefs have had some tough luck lately with their formerly dominant O-Line all getting old at the same time, but there IS some talent there. It's unfortunate that there's not a decent coach to make the most of it.
Well the main guy who bought the Herm hiring was the president, Carl Peterson, who has just as hot, if not hotter seat right now than Herm. By the start of next season, both men have to be gone.
Brodie is a good guy, hell of an arm; but just like earlier today, just like week 1, just like last year...he gets hurt every time he puts on his uniform. You can't have a QB who only plays 3 weeks a year.
O-line has been "rebuilding" since Willie finally left, and its just dreadful right now to even look at the guys in there.
There's some talent all around; with *hopefully* a new president and HC next season, maybe they can get a few good FA's to go with some decent draft picks in place already.
