To say it's been a bad year for the Reds would be a bit of an understatement. The team is horrible, they traded away their two most marketable players (Ken Griffey Jr. and Adam Dunn), Edison Volquez is starting to regress, rookie phenom Jay Bruce crapped out after a stellar start, and now there's this.
Apparently the team is so desperate to get fans to show up to games that they're throwing their mascots up on local news broadcasts to, uh, I'm not sure what they're trying to do exactly. All I know is that a traffic reporter sexually harassing Rosie Red in a TV studio won't exactly get me to attend a Reds game.
But I like the effort. Wait, who am I kidding. I don't like the effort at all. This is a a complete and utter disaster on every level. Pretty much exactly like the Reds' whole season.
By the way, if people are wondering why no one takes TV news seriously anymore, I think news stations that have a regular weekly feature called Dance Party Friday might just have something to do with it.
