Ladies and Gentlemen we are finally here!  After a year of waiting, the tournament is down to only two teams and the Tournament Championship is tomorrow.  No I'm not talking about the NCAA Tournament, who cares about that?  I am talking about the inaugural CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament Championship.

In Peoria, Illinois on Tuesday The 21-14 Bradley Braves will face off against the 24-10 Old Dominion Monarchs.  The Monarchs are coming off an impressive 81-43 victory over James Madison in the CIT Semi-Finals.  Bradley, the tournaments overall #1 seed have beaten Austin Peay, Okland, and Pacific, all at home to reach the championship game.  Bradley made national highlight reels when Chris Roberts hit a 75-footer to win against Oakland in the Quarter-Finals.

The Bradley Braves are 11-3 at Carver Arena in Peoria where they will host Old Dominion on Tuesday.   Old Dominion is hot as they have won 9 of their last 10 games.  Bradley is in the Missouri Valley Conference, who's winner (Northern Iowa) was bounced in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.  Old Dominion comes from the Colonial Athletic Conference where Virginia Commonwealth came out of to almost upset UCLA in the tournament.  Old Dominion did have a win against VCU this season.

Bradley plays tough defense and has enough toughness and depth to beat Old Dominion.   They are led by senior forward Theron Wilson who averages 14.1 PPG and bring in over 7 rebounds per game.  The Monarchs will counter with 6'10 junior forward Gerald Lee who averages 15.5 PPG and 5.7 rebounds a contest.  This should be an exciting non-televised championship, and Bradley will come out on top.

Prediction: 67-63 Bradley (plus I hope they sing this song below after they win)

Hey - you play what you can!  I give all these teams some degree of credit (especially since my beloved Spiders were in this tournament) - they are kids who will never play ball in the pros and love the game and want to play as much as they can.  At least they didn't come out with the "we are better than this" line...

Not exactly Bradley basketball from the Hersey Hawkins era, but if you're in a postseason tournament, you might as well win it.

Hey, playing a postseason tourney game at home?? What is this the Women's Tourney?

haha, I wish it was the womens tourney, then they could be National Champions.  I think next year the tournament championship will be help on a neutral court...I mean neutral blacktop.  You will be able to bring fold up chairs and the announcer will yeah "OH BABY" on every decent play.
