Colt Brennan Leads Washington Redskins Over Indianapolis Colts In Hall of Fame Game

Picking Apart 4th and 5th Stringers Never Looked So Pretty |

READ MORE:
The last time we saw Colt Brennan he was buried under a pile of Georgia Bulldogs and removed from the Sugar Bowl for his safety and future.
That future got off to a promising start, as promising as one can be against 4th and 5th string defenses, with Brennan leading the Washington Redskins to a comeback victory in the Hall of Fame Game.
Brennan, a 6th round pick, got his chance in the 3rd quarter and was given the reigns for the remainder of the game. As he entered, John Madden shared that Jim Zorn intended to run the ball early and often to keep the clock running. Jim Zorn 1, John Madden 0. I like this new coach already.
9-for-10 completions, 123 yards passing and two touchdowns later, the 'Skins ran over the Indianapolis Colts to a 30-16 preseason win.
It wasn't just Brennan that performed well, Jason Campbell led off the game going 5-for-5, for 61 yards and a touchdown pass. Coach Zorn brought in his passing offense, keeping the running the same as under Joe Gibbs, and it's early reviews have to impress Redskins fans even if it is just the first of five "scrimmages."
More than anything, wasn't it nice to see some football again?
