Danica Patrick doesn't need to draw any more attention to herself heading into the Indianapolis 500 than she'll already have. Whether it's her fault or not, she's already a big hit during practice sessions.
During Friday's practice runs, Patrick drilled Chuck Buckman, a crewman of Marco Andretti, and as you can see above it was quite a nasty blow. According to the recent reports, Mr. Buckman only suffered a concussions and abrasions to his scalp and face.
Safe to say he's quite fortunate.
“I really don’t remember how it happened,” Buckman said in a statement from the Speedway. “All I remember is I was talking with someone on Marco Andretti’s team and then everything is blank from that point.”I'd go for a female driver joke right here, but maybe that's too soon. We've got plenty of time for that in the next couple weeks leading up to the race. All I know is Buckman should know better than to get anywhere near a woman while she's trying to park a car.
