Yes, I know Danica Patrick finished third at the Indy 500, but that doesn't mean she can't still run over her pit crew members when she feels like it. During Saturday’s IndyCar practice in Iowa - yes, practice - she came into the pits too fast and too close to the wall and drilled some poor member of her pit crew. Then, she lectured him. Of course she did.
Anyway, should be entertaining to see how many pit crew members she can take out when she switches to NASCAR.

It was meant to be a "tongue in cheek" comment, not to be taken seriously.....................although you should see my wife do this..................

Well, strength matters. Mark Martin may not be the tallest guy in NASCAR, but he's taller than 5'2" and he works out with weights several hours a day. Glad you agree Danica isn't the one to make the jump. Her only shot would be in a truck.

Good thing I work in health care. Be glad to bandage those knuckles you're dragging.

To make a woman a good racing driver she needs to have two kids in the back, and a kindergarten at the finish line, preferable with a 15 mph limit. Then watch her GOOOOooooooooo (Thats the only time when they´re fast) I have observed this phenomenon many times.

When did she lecture the guy? Can't you see then both smiling when she gestures to him? This article sucks,

Mark Martin has proved size doesn't matter in a stock car lol.

Not that I'm particularly optimistic about Danica in stock cars. Not necessarily for talent reasons, but because I'm not sure she, all of 5-2 and 105 pounds, could physically handle such large machinery.

You're forgetting Briscoe. Unfortunately, there's a perfect storm right now causing Penske and Ganassi. Despite this, Danica has been much improved this year and 5th is still pretty good in a series that I still think has some depth in it.
As for the jumpers....
As I've said many times, this isn't the 60s and 70s. Nobody can switch and be successful right away, especially if not at a top-tier team, which none of the jumpers have been. Just look at the three drivers that have been given time: Montoya, Allmendinger, and Hornish. All three have made some nice strides. The only bomb I see at this point is Dario.

Oh wait, I forgot. NASCAR is the only racing series that matters anywhere. Can't be a good driver if you're not a "good 'ol boy." *rolls eyes*
This Danica situation has actually made me hate NASCAR even more, and I didn't think that was possible.
Wow someones putting words in my mouth. Did I say anything about NASCAR being the only series and the only series with good ol boys being the only good drivers? Please, by all means show me where I stated that. And no, I don't think 5th in IRL is all that stellar when the top three are owning the entire field. It's ok, but Castroneves, Franchitti and Dixon are kicking everyones ass right now. Danica is the JR of Indy. She is popular among fans but hasn't put out the numbers she needs to be. One win in your career is better than no wins, but its not that great when the ultimate goal you have week in and week out is to win. Also, Montoya is the only driver that has successfully made a transition into NASCAR. It's not just making left hand turns all day. Many have tried and failed in the last two years. She doesn't have that diverse of a racing history behind her and she isn't a great IRL driver. She's decent, and could drive circles around the majority of people but decent isnt going to cut it. It's not because she's a woman. I'm all about women in motorsports. I would love to see a woman go out there and show the men how it's done. But it's not her. Its not Duno and Fischer either. So next time leave my opinion forming to myself thank you.

Danica stop treating your pit crew like a bowling pins. Also you were never going to make that 7-10 split any ways.

so was she a)fixing her makeup? b)talking on her cellphone? or c)yelling at the damn kids that they'd get to soccer practice when they got there? (having flashback to '97 after getting t-boned by dunwoody soccer mom)

I love that 5th in points in a major series means nothing only when hating on Danica.

Danica, is IRL's Anna Kournikova.

I'm sorry but she would crash and burn in NASCAR. She is a medium sized fish in a small pond now. She has won one race in her career. While she is 5th in the standings now, thats out of what, 26 drivers? She is decent but hasn't posted a stellar career. She is more famous for her photo shoots than anything else. If she made the switch, she'd be a minnow in Lake Victoria. Not to mention her attitude would not fly with the good ol boys either.

Hey Danica, sweetheart, there's no such thing as paralell parking in auto racing. Lighten up!

the only way I would allow her to run over me and then proceed to lecture me is if she is wearing this:
