There seems to be no middle ground for Danica Patrick - when she losses or gets knocked out it's always the other drivers fault and she storms off pit lane stomping her feet.
Sunday's 92nd running went as predicted. The favorite to win, Scott Dixon, took home the checkered flag and the favorite to stomp off pit lane ready to fight did her thing as well.
On lap 171 of 200, Ryan Briscoe was exiting pit lane at the same time as Danica and clipped Patrick's Andretti Green Racing No. 7 car and knocked both cars out of the race.
Patrick stormed down pit row looking for a fight but was pulled back.
"I was just going down pit lane and as people pull out of their pit boxes and you're on the outside lane, they have to wait until they can blend in. From what I could tell, it was pretty obvious what happened. What are you going to do?"Briscoe wasn't willing to concede the crash as his error by any means:
"Probably best I didn't get down there anyway."
"It confirmed my thoughts. We were both out there trying to win the Indy 500 today, and when it's time to go, we have to go. But from what I can see, there was still plenty of room on the right side for her to get around and there are people pointing fingers, but that's not the way we are."Sooner or later we're going to see Danica go after someone and it's going to be an ugly scene. And awesome.
"We both have a brake pedal in our cars, and from what I can tell, there was still plenty of room for her to get around me. I was trying to get around [Dan] Wheldon [in the stall ahead], and I was staying in the middle lane. I got ran up in the back, and it's a shame."
