Dennis Green Requests Trademark on "They Are Who We Thought They Were"

There are a few sound bites in sports that are worth posting whenever something newsworthy happens that remotely relates. I'd say this news today relates well.

Dennis Green is trying to copyright the phrase "They Are Who We Thought They Were."

That's the best story of the week outside of Anna Rawson going pro. Hilarious, but smart move by Green. I mean, when you hear his name do you think of anything other than the clip above?

I wonder if the people at the official NFL beer know he is who he thought he was.

With that in mind, Lovie Smith should rush a request for "Rex Grossman is our quarterback"

Why would Lovie be in a rush for that?

He is the only person in the world, in their right mind, that says it.

Dennis Green is who we thought he was. That is why he took the damn podium. If you want to crown him best sound bite of 2006 then crown his ass.
