Derek Fisher 0.4 Second Buzzer Beater Flashback

Hopefully, Fish Can Save Us From Another NBA Nightmare

You'll be seeing plenty of this shot before tonight's Western Conference Finals Game 1.

Just think, if Derek Fisher hadn't pulled this shot out of his left pocket, we'd hate the Spurs even more as they'd have likely won yet another title.

I think I speak for everyone outside of San Antonio when I say I hope Derek Fisher can hit a few more of these, preferably without of the drama of a buzzer beater and with all the joy of a double digit Lakers win.

More on Game 1 later this afternoon.

Spurs fans need to shut the hell up about that shot.  When Duncan's shot went through there was over a second left on the clock, but the clock keeper somehow managed to let it keep running down to 0.4.

One of the biggest tragedies ever.  Absolutely stupid.  Taking that shot took at least 2 seconds.  What a joke.

I give that year a great big *

D-Fish to rescue!

He more than Kobe, Pao, Lamar or anyone I want to see get a ring. Sure he has his 3 from his first go around, but the guy is all class and his presence has been one of the lesser talked about keys of the team's turn around. He has done a great job as  the players rep and I think when he is done he should take Billy Hunter's job.

So do you also give an * to the 1999 Title won by the Spurs in the lockout shortened season?

Sorry but the rules say that with more than .3 seconds you can catch and shoot. That is in the NBA rules. You really need to take off the Spurs blinders with that one.

oh did the lakers play a full season that year? I didn't KNOW THAT!?  Oh wait, we ALL played a shortened REGULAR season.  Yet, we all had the EXACT same REAL season (playoffs).  Funny, how we ALL had the exact same season yet the Spurs were the only ones that benefited?  Seems like perfect logic.  So the Lakers got owned that year because......they didn't have to play as many regular season games?  So in order to win a championship the Lakers have to rely on 82 games to beat other teams down?

I just can't believe that Derick Fisher is actually Superman.  Because Superman is the only possible person that could catch a shot, turn around, shoot it, all under 4 tenths of a second.  Purely amazing.

As a Spurs fan, the .4 seconds shot killed me, and it came just after Duncan's apparent game winner at the other end of the court.  Derek Fisher is nails.  He's a class guy and I've always been a fan of his, even when he was with LA the first go around.   I am by no means a Laker fan, they are my least favorite NBA team, but D-Fish always has a place on my all-time roster.  It's just too bad a guy of his caliber plays for the team I just don't like.

By the way, the .4 seconds shot looked completely legal to me.
