A key piece of background info, for the uninformed:
Stephenson was the player who made the "choke" sign at LeBron James while James missed a couple free throws late in the Heat's game 3 loss.
As you watch the play, you can clearly see Pittman cock his elbow as he watches Stephenson enter the lane to go after the ball. This was an absurdly obvious attempt at retaliation for Stephenson punking out the Heat's best player. As far as I'm concerned, there is no way avoiding that.
Clearly premeditated, clearly intentional, and clearly violent with complete disregard for the game of basketball.
Personally, I'd sit Pittman down for at least 5 games and slap a heavy fine on him as well.
Behavior like this has no place whatsoever in NBA games, no matter what kind of trash talk Stephenson had done.
What do you think? Should Pittman be suspended for this play?

Yep fine him and they should punish the Miami Heat too-- by making Pittman play the whole game for the next 5 games for the Heat-- well that might be a little too much LOL!!!!

He needs to be suspended. That said, the Pacers had this coming. Eventually all the fake tough guy crap will catch up to you.

The problem is Pittman is a 2nd tier bench player at best that only sees action in "mop-up time". Suspending him really serves no purpose other then it follows protocol already set forth by previous flagrant fouls that have been committed. I'd fine him $500,000 to really hit him where it hurts

Yea I agree i would be surprised if he doesn't get at least 5 games and the wink afterwards could make it a little more
