Dick Vitale joined Mike & Mike this morning, as he does every Monday, but this time they had something new to discuss. After years and years of being denied, Vitale was overwhelmed with emotion when discussing the honor.

As loud an annoying as they come, I still love Vitale's enthusiasm for life and his work to promote college basketball throughout his 29 years with ESPN is more than deserving of this honor.
