It's easy to overreact to the moment, but last night's (this morning's) Rockies win had every aspect you can ask for in a truly great game.
Controversy, lead changes, plenty of runs, extra innings, underdog, and a walk-off hit.
This game cracks my list of the best greatest games I've watched, but keep in mind the Cub fan factor which means I'm not always tuned into meaningful games in October.
The guys at Pinstripe Alley put together this list of games over the last 20 years:
Here's the list we came up with:Did this crack your top 10?
1) Luis' Blooper Yankees vs D-backs, Game 7, November 4th, 2001
2) "The Greatest Game Ever Played" Twins vs Braves, Game 7, October 27th, 1991
3) The First Wild Card Champ Indians vs Marlins, Game 7, October 26th, 2007
4) Aaron F'ing Boone Red Sox vs Yankees, October 16, 2003

6) 2 Games for the Price of One Braves vs Astros, October 9th, 2005

(p.s. - on the final home plate call, check out Brad Hawpe again in the replay. He had the best angle and clearly wasn't celebrating since he thought Holliday was out.)
