Donte' Foster Buzzer Beater For Guthrie, Oklahoma High School Team
HS Basketball

Sure, It Was Only The 1st Quarter, But This Buzzer Beater Is Still Pretty Impressive.

This probably isn't anything you would have seen in your nightly travels through your local television programming. Nor is it really all that significant. Donte' Foster, from Guthrie, Oklahoma made a buzzer beater in the first quarter of a high school game in some Oklahoma basketball tournament.

The reason this video is being posted is simply because of the awesomeness of the shot. There was a half second left on the clock, and the ball was thrown in bounds to Foster. Instead of a catch and shoot, which would have been nearly impossible with so little time left, he tapped it into the basket. Still not impressive? I mean... sure, it's cool, guys do the tip-in with less than a second left all the time. It's a glorified alley-oop, right?

Not this time. Foster hit this one from 3 point range. Ridiculous.

With .5, via the rules, he could have caught it, but facing away from the basket would have no time.  Great heads up play!!  Didn't know they played basketball in Oklahoma!

he setted that ball into the basket like a volley ball player!

Yes, yes I do.  Just part of my job.  It wouldn't be so bad if I weren't out until after midnight last night...But all of these crazy stories/videos are helping to keep me awake, for now.

Saw this this morning as the top play on the 4 or 5 AM PST Sportscenter.  Pretty crazy that his deflection actually went in.  Pretty smart move with only .5 secs on the clock!
