Luckily I'm in Michigan this week and avoided the monsoon that swept through my neighborhood last night and rendered Wrigley Field the area's largest pool. What I did miss, however, some quality rain delay entertainment.
I understand that stadiums can't allow fans to run onto the field during game action. It's clearly a distraction and a danger to the players. But if there's a rain delay, and the world's greatest slip n' slide presents itself, streaking the field should become necessary rain delay entertainment.
For example, Elvis here and his buddies during the Cubs monsoon delay took quite a dive. This is all good fun, nothing to send out 16 security guards to take care of.
In case you're wondering, it was 70's night, which might help explain the Elvis outfit.
