Out with the old and in with the new: with today's firing of Chicago Bulls Coach Scott Skiles, we debut a new feature on the blog, the FanIQ Vintage Video Vault. From time to time, we will be showing some random vintage sports clips, highlighting interesting moments from the past, both major and minor. Some of the videos you may have seen before, others will be from moments you have forgotten or never knew about in the first place.
While this December was not a good one for Scott Skiles, December 30th, 1990 was a much better day for Scott. That was the day that he racked up an NBA-record 30 assists in a single game for the Orlando Magic against the Denver Nuggets. With all of the great point guards who have played in the NBA like Steve Nash and John Stockton, it's pretty remarkable that Skiles has the all-time single game record. Not only that, he managed to get 30 assists in a lineup that featured Terry Catledge and Jerry Reynolds as the leading scorers that night.
His line for that history night:
| Player | MP | FG | FGA | 3P | 3PA | FT | FTA | ORB | TRB | AST | STL | BLK | TO | PF | PTS |
| Scott Skiles | 44 | 7 | 13 | 2 | 3 | 6 | 7 | 1 | 6 | 30 | 2 | 0 | 4 | 2 | 22 |
