All right, we've got ourselves one of the biggest games of the college football year happening today: Georgia versus Florida, or as it's more commonly known, the World's Largest Cocktail Party. As you may know, that name has since been changed. in May 2006, the SEC asked the three networks which broadcast their football games not to use the moniker "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party," since it conveys a message of getting totally hammered. While the stations have listened, fans pretty much haven't. 3 people have died in UF/UGA related partying in Jacksonville since the 2004 game. So, uh, everybody be safe today.
Anyway, on to the game.
Georgia is the "home" team today, but since the game is being played in Jacksonville (a neutral site), they're nearly a 7-point underdog. Makes sense to me. Florida has been pounding teams since they lost to Ole Miss at the Swamp, and they have the revenge factor going in this game as well. In case you forgot why Florida is extra motivated today, here you go.
This game will also play a huge role in determining who will win the SEC East. And with both teams in the Top 10 in the country, we should all be watching this game.
As of right now, 66% of FanIQ is going with the Gators.
Feel free to chat up the game right here or on the game page.
