Who’s one step closer to hoisting Lord Stanley? The Wrap-Around is your daily update for last nights’ NHL Playoff action.
Flyers Win At Home To Gain Advantage.
Only one game last night and three tonight, that's some tricky scheduling for you. One team in this game had 34 shots, and the other had 14. Now, using basic logic, the winning Flyers had 34 right? Nope. Martin Biron played another fantastic game, continuing his success throughout the playoffs. The 20 year old Carey Price had his second straight bad game in net, this one, 3 goals on 12 shots. Yikes! All of Philadelphia's goals were scored in the first period. Scottie Upshall scored the first one, Mike Richards scored the second shorthanded, and R.J. Umberger had the third. To Montreal's credit, they almost came back. Derian Hatcher got a game misconduct for boarding in the 3rd, and during his sentence, the Canadiens scored two goals. One by Tomas Plekanec and the other by Saku Koivu. But it wasn't enough as the Flyers won 3-2. With that, the 6 seed Flyers now lead the series 2-1, and play game 4 at home on Wednesday.
