If you watched the Oklahoma-UNC game, then you probably saw this incredibly awesome Guitar Hero commercial, featuring legendary NCAA coaches Mike Krzyzewski, Roy Williams, Rick Pitino and Bob Knight, along with Metallica.

The high point was definitely Bob Knight tossing the drum at Metallica. I mean... it just wouldn't be Bob Knight if he didn't throw something. That, and him saying "we're playing guitar HE-ro". Simply classic.

This is some of the better work by the folks over at Guitar Hero, but it still pales in comparison to the Heidi Klum commercial they ran during football season. Enjoy.

Bobby Knight is the only thing that makes this commercial any good.

Heidi Klum, far superior.

Nice to see Coach K on the axe though, best guy is always on the lead guitar!

So why didn't Roy Williams make the cut for this commerical? Or Izzo for that matter? They are both funnier than Phelps.

Actually, my bad on that. It IS Williams, and not Phelps. I fixed the original error.

All of  them looked kinda crazy in the pink sliding across the floor but it was still a funny commercial. Roy Williams is way to old to do that.

I'm just wondering how long it will be until all the haters scream that this commercial gives Duke an unfair recruiting advantage because Coach K is in it, just like those Amex commercials he made about a year ago. But oh wait, how about the unfair advantage for UNC and L-Ville too?

Well hey, we can't all be Missouri who seemingly always gets to the elite 8 and then NEVER makes it to the final four. But I'll bet you did find your way into rooting for them when a Duke alum was their coach, didn't you? Be honest.

Anyway, I'll take some down years in return for the three title years instead of always being the bridesmaid and never the bride, like Missou.

Yeah the best part of the joke was Duke being ACC champs, beating BC in the process. I like jokes like that and I'll keep laughing every time it happens. Tournament success won't be too far off.

You keep bringing up BC as if they are relevant to this conversation.

No one thinks that BC is a great basketball factory, or tries to act like they are some kind of great basketball team. We know where we stand.
