Earlier this week, Indiana Hoosier basketball players Jamarcus Ellis and Armon Bassett were kicked out of the program by interim coach Dan Dakich for blowing off meetings and the punishments for missing those meetings. These two chuckleheads were also disciplined during the season; Bassett, a sophomore, was suspended for three games and junior Ellis was suspended for one.
Well, between then and now the Hooisers hired Tom Crean from Marquette to take over the program. So, the two players kicked off of the team are saying they are willing to come back. How big of them. But here is the kicker. THEY ARE LAYING DOWN CONDITIONS FOR THEIR RETURN!!! Can you imagine such a thing? Can you imagine the brass ones required to go back to the company that fired you and saying "I am willing to return to the job you fired me from, but under one condition"? Well, the condition is that Dan Dakich, the man they disrespected continuously, be kicked from the program. Now that is nerve, m'friends.
Now, Dan Dakich knew he was likely a short-timer when he kicked these two fools from the team. I refuse to believe he did it on his own hook. He had to have had the support of the Athletic Department. If Tom Crean and the IU AD takes these two players back, I will be willing to predict that Crean's program is well on its way to failure.
