If watching Indiana rush the court last night didn't make you vomit, this assuredly will

Man, I miss college.

The rushing the court epidemic was pretty out of control last year. This season it's a little more under raps. With that said I found it pretty amusing the Indiana University and it's illustrious history rushed the court after beating Wisconsin and it's Bo Ryan.

Kelvin Sampson is not too popular around here, but you have to credit him for what he's done in such a short time with Hoosier basketball. Very few people predicted immediate success and a shot at the Big Ten title. Are the Hoosiers back? One blogger thinks so ...
"Growing up I enjoyed watching Bobby Knight's Indiana University basketball squads run their man to man defense and motion offense to near perfection. It was fun to watch, it was an education in basketball fundamentals for a boy, and it allowed me to have some pride for my home state university. Unfortunately, I lost that love during the Mike Davis reign. It seemed that the fluid offense and suffocating defense left the state and it made basketball hard to watch. Luckily, after letting Mike Davis go at the end of last season the Hoosiers hired Kelvin Sampson and the Hoosiers have now put themselves back on the College Basketball map."
Indiana isn't officially back until they don't storm the court beating Wisconsin. I don't know that they really left, but it's always more fun when Indiana is a Top Team and I'll have to agree that they are.

I wonder if any Husker fans rushed the court last night in Lubbock after the last second shot to beat Knight's Red Raiders?  The ref's clearly missed the Texas Tech players foot out of bounds when he threw it to the Husker player who hit the shot.  However after the game Knight was subdued, although I wonder if he had seen the video yet?

it wasnt even that big of an upset..they were a 2 point underdog.

That was embarrassing. I know it's been awhile since IU has been really good but, good god they have five championship banners hanging in the arena. When Knight was coaching that crap never happened. You would have thought they won the biggest game in the school's history the way they stormed the court. It totally pissed me off.

I must sadly admit that I missed my one court rushing opportunity in college when I wasn't in Oxford for the Redhawks defeat of then #9 Tennessee at Millett Hall.  CF probably remembers that game as he helped hoist Wally Scissorkicks up in celebration.

Ahh the days ... Weren't you there when we beat ranked ND and had a race to see who could get to mid court faster?

to be fair...indiana fans haven't seen good basketball since the 2002 year...they needed to get this out of their system

My father is a 1971 graduate of IU and even with the love he has for his alma mater, he admits Indiana will never officially be back until the fans and alumni realize Coach Knight is gone and will not be back!  Coach Davis may not be The General however he is a quality coach and more importantly a quality man who was never endorsed by the fans or Coach Knight and therefore never had achance to win over the fans.  Kelvin Sampson will break the fans in Bloomington's hearts as soon as a better job in his mind comes along the same way he did in Norman when he realized the heat was soon to come for off the court recruiting problems.  Maybe IU fans can see if Pat Knight is available at that point.
