Lloyd Carr is getting tough. He's suspending Mario Manningham for the easiest game on the schedule, one in which he wouldn't play more than a quarter. Classic coaching move.

Manning won't be playing this week against Eastern Michigan for "violating a team rule."

I wonder if this is a result of Mario's example of fine sportsmanship after the final snap against Penn State (seen at the end of this video)?

I haven't seen EMU play, but I wouldn't doubt it. It seems like all the directional schools struggle, with the noted exeption of USF.

0	Mario was not suspended because of the worm, he was suspended for the same reason Minor and Sears were suspended.
