Lloyd Carr is getting tough. He's suspending Mario Manningham for the easiest game on the schedule, one in which he wouldn't play more than a quarter. Classic coaching move.

Manning won't be playing this week against Eastern Michigan for "violating a team rule."

I wonder if this is a result of Mario's example of fine sportsmanship after the final snap against Penn State (seen at the end of this video)?

Even before the App St win, I think most people that have watched Eastern would have said that was still the easiest game. They're dreadful.

I haven't seen EMU play, but I wouldn't doubt it.  It seems like all the directional schools struggle, with the noted exeption of USF.

Mario was not suspended because of the worm, he was suspended for the same reason Minor and Sears were suspended.
