Jarret Johnson Of Anderson University Dunk Of The Year Against Coker
This Is The Best Dunk You'll See This Year
READ MORE:
There's not really much reason why I would ever post anything on Anderson University (SC), which is a D-II college, but then again, it's not every day you see a dunk like this. Jarret Johnson, a 6-3 guard for Anderson, got out on the break Monday night in a game against Coker and threw down an incredibly vicious dunk on some poor fool who tried to take a charge. Notice the extra lift Johnson gets as he makes contact with the Coker player, his head actually gets over the rim.

As awesome as that dunk is, I have to be honest, the crowd reaction makes it even better. I think some dude blew out a lung yelling after Johnson slammed that sucker home. And man, if were that Coker player, I'm not sure I could ever look at myself in the mirror again. Or step on a basketball court again. Or ever show my face in public again.

Now, I'm sure a lot of you when you saw that clip immediately thought of Tom Chambers destroying Mark Jackson. So, here you go. Two soul-stealing dunks for the price of one.

He looks like he used like a stepping stool & walked on him on his way towards the dunk. Look at his feet. He just got POSTERIZED!

Yeah, the Tom Chambers play was out of nowhere.  He was a great scorer, but I remember thinking at the time... "Oh my God, did Tom Chambers just do that."

Remember really learning who he was when he played in the playoffs for the Sonics and was the MVP...

What makes it is the way the Coker player lies prostrate for a few seconds as if he is reviewing all the decisions he's made for an entire lifetime and trying to figure out how it all went so very, very wrong.  That's not the best I have seen though, there's a court on West 4th street in NYC where "Up North"  Seth Marshall did the same thing but over two defenders, clearing one of them without making any contact and his thigh grazed the other... On the HEAD!!

This was a nice posterizing dunk.  Kind of reminded of a old clip of a Cardinal player almost jumping over another player trying to take charge.  www.youtube.com/watch

Did you notice the one Anderson player that ran to the other end of the court and appeared to high five all the fans down the row?  He wasnt even the guy that dunked the ball.

There was a kid who played high school with Kevin Garnett (for 1 year) in Chicago named Ronnie Fields.    He was in a car accident and suffered neck injuries, but before that injury he was un-believable.     His dunks were as awesome as any you've ever seen - there are a lot of vids of him on YouTube, here's one:

The guy was unreal !!

This guy was unreal....I hate when tragedy happens to talented players like this.  I could only imagine what he would have become if that accident didnt happen.  After seeing this vid I read his Wikipedia page and it was good to read that he did have a career in CBA where he lead the league in scoring and steals for two season.

Yeah, I remember there was a question in Chicago if Ronnie Fields was better than Kevin Garnett.  It's a sad story.

Love the bench reaction! When your teammates get out of their chairs and start whippin' towels around like the Celtics' M.L. Carr, you "got 'er done."
