Jay Bruce Has Arrived [MLB Walk-Off]
Springsteen and Willis Have Nothing On Jay Bruce

I wouldn't normally post an interview in these parts, but as you can see it's not your ordinary Q&A.

The Cincinnati Reds, who apparently have a much better farm system than I gave them credit for, brought up 21-year-old outfield prospect Jay Bruce on Tuesday night. As you can see from his shaving cream covered face, he had a pretty solid night.

How's 3-for-3, 2 RBI, 2 R and 2 BB. On base in all five of his first at-bats. Corey Patterson, it's been nice knowing ya'.

Bruce was the 12th pick in a loaded 2005 draft, taken behind the likes of Justin Upton, Alex Gordon, Ryan Zimmerman, Ryan Braun, Troy Tulowitzki and Cameron Maybin. Needless to say, he's already a legend in Cincinnati.

Reds 9, Pirates 6

Just Your Average Game 11 innings, 19 runs scored, 12 pitchers used, 9 home runs, 31 hits and 5 errors. Yep, fairly standard. Alex Cintron doubled in the game winner for Baltimore in the bottom of the 11th. O's 10, Yankees 9

Speaking of Normal ... The Indians pulled off a triple steal last night. As you can imagine, the play wasn't exactly as smooth as the unassisted triple play pulled off by Cleveland a few weeks ago. White Sox pitcher Ehren Wasserman attempted the fake to third, throw to first move that never, ever works. This time his "move" gave David Dellucci a chance to steal home. While he made his move, followed by a bad throw to the plate, the two other Indians moved up a base and were credited with stolen bases. Somewhere Timmy Kurkjian is squealing. Indians 8, White Sox 2

Giants Do Have A Pitcher Worth $100 Million
Tim Lincecum is nasty. Consider that he has seven wins and he plays in front of the worst collection of hitters in the league. Giants 6, DBacks 3

Finally some hope in Cincinnati... with young studs like Cueto, Volquez, Bruce, Phillips, and hopfully Homer Bailey the Reds Organization is in excellent shape.  The Reds have finally washed themselves of the stench that was the Jim Bowden years.
