Twins 1, Rangers 0 This hasn't been Johan Santana's best season, but Sunday's effort (as you can see above) reaffirms that if all pitchers are on their best game, Santana is still the best.

Yankees 9, Tigers 3 Joba Chamberlain has been rather impressive during his opportunities up in the bigs - no runs, two hits, 11 strikeouts, two walks.

Braves 6, DBacks 2 John Smoltz and Mark Teixeira stop a 4-game Snakes sweep. Smoltz's 12 K's put him atop the Braves all-time charts passing Phil Niekro.

Reds 7, Brewers 6 He hasn't been as bad as Eric Gagne, but Scott Linebrink has likely won over just as many fans. The Brewers might have to consider shutting down Chris Capuano. He's a guaranteed L right now (16th straight loss when he starts).

I definitely wouldn't count him out, unfortunately he can't pitch every 3 days. If that was the case then I'd feel a little more comfortable betting on that.

They just got done with Texas, who has the worst team ERA in the AL, and could only score 3 runs for all 3 games!! That, plus being 0 for 18 with runners in scoring position, isn't going to do it. If the offense can't step it up, the playoffs will be a tough thing to pull off!!
