Because it's kind of a slow news day, unless you're into something called the "World Series" or a hockey rink littered with dildos (and I don't mean the New York Rangers), let's discuss the merits of a bet between the Sacramento Kings' Kevin Martin and Mikki Moore.
Ball Don't Lie shares that Martin and Moore bet each other that they would be the first to dunk on Greg Oden. On the line was $1,000. Martin cashed in on his bet Monday night by schooling Rudy Fernandez on the dribble drive and then dunking on Oden.
Asked if he knew Oden and Aldridge would be there when he crossed over Fernandez, Martin laughed. "Them guys have 7-(foot)-5 wingspans, so even if you don't think they are going to be there, they are going to be there," Martin said. "I'm glad they were there. I got a little richer today."
I approve any and all bets between NBA players of this ilk, but like BDL, I'm not sure I agree with this particular bounty being finished.
Did Kevin Martin dunk ON Greg Oden or did he dunk in the general vicinity of the Trail Blazers 43-year-old center who arrived late for the block? You decide.
