I commend the NBA on trying to get the word out about their Developmental League. There are certainly some talented players there, wasting away in relative obscurity. Any publicity for them is good publicity.

But are Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett really the right spokesmen for this? Of all the players in the league, did they need to pick two of the guys who were able to come straight out of high school and make an impact almost immediately? These guys are the antithesis of D-League players. Aren't there a few NBDL alums who would have been a better choice?

2	Actually Birdman and Moon didn't start and I believe have never been in the D-League. The guys I would go with are Kelenna Azubuike and Ramon Sessions as two guys who have "made it" from the D-League.

I'll give you the Anderson. I had looked and hadn't seen anything about him being in the D-League. Moon on the other hand has played for the Harlem Globetrotters, CBA's Albany Patroons,Fuerza Regia in the Mexican LNBP, and the USBL Gary Steelheads. With a list like that Moon probably has played in the D-League too.

Though I think both of them played in the D-League before it became the D-League that it is today. You were right about Anderson and probably Moon too and yeah, those two and the two I said, guys that actually played in the D-League should be doing commercials instead of guys that would have been playing in the D-League when they were 9th graders or something.

2	(Edited by Jubanator14) Probably haha. See the old USBL, CBA and ABA and all those other semi-pro leagues dissolved and reappeared and then were absorbed back into the D-League, kind of hard to keep track of.
